It all starts with a vision. Maybe you want a modern outdoor entertainment area. Maybe you want a kid-friendly play area. Or maybe you want a low maintenance garden to enjoy. Whatever your vision, Design Masters captures this in a customized design. Once we have successfully implemented that vision and the garden is installed, we work with the client to set up a maintenance program – With our range of grounds and garden maintenance services we offer seasonal or occasional checks to ensure the garden is realizing its full potential and maturing beautifully. This additional service is unique in the industry, but Design Masters wouldn’t have it any other way: it’s an essential link to successful gardens and satisfied customers.
Design Masters follows the phases of design, construction management and development of a maintenance plan for gardens of all sizes and types (urban gardens, suburban gardens, country gardens, communal gardens), public parks and private terraces all over Romania.
Our projects are not mass-produced, but always different from each other because we try to create a relationship with the garden environment and respond to the client’s needs in terms of the use of the garden itself.
Designing a garden takes into account the client’s needs in terms of the activities they plan to play in the garden or on the terrace (sunbathing, outdoor dining, reading, games or sports, movie nights, parties with friends, gardening, and especially the budget. Then we consider technical aspects such as soil characteristics, air temperature, water availability or exposure. Based on these needs and other technical aspects, we can choose low-maintenance plants for your garden that will ensure an aesthetically pleasing result and reduce annual costs.
Design & Implementation
The design starts with a careful study of the space, monitoring the sun and the light it has. We then work on the plans, which include the taps and sockets, lighting, irrigation and drainage systems, among others. Finally, we determine the color palette and range of trees, shrubs, grasses and perennials to be planted.
Once we organize the site and the large construction works are completed, with the help of our professional teams, we start planting and make sure that the implementation schedule is adhered to.

PROJECT STAGES
- A preliminary discussion about the space, area and location and what the beneficiaries want from it, as well as verification of the existence of a cadastral and topographical plan of the land
- Quotation based on area, topo plan and need for additional measurements
- Field visit – photography, measurements, analysis of light, wind, water sources, etc.
- Final offer
- Design sketch – The design process begins with establishing a general concept of how the garden will be laid out, including the main areas, proposals for plant types and materials, and the creation of a reasoned moodboard.
- Revision of the design – Feedback from the beneficiary is taken into account and the design is revised and a further discussion on the final solution takes place to obtain approval.
- The technical design is developed and may include:
- Accompanying study explaining the design solution
- Lighting plan;
- Planting plan including trees, shrubs, herbaceous plants;
- Technical plan for the layout of the alleys and their junctions;
- Layout plan for unevenness/land modifications;
- Zoning plan for large areas;
- Drainage plan, dimensions for pavement layout, underpasses for areas with pipes under the driveway;
- Paving dimensions;
- Undercrossings – areas with pipes – under the driveway;
- Furniture sketches with technical details;
- Finally, the design solution is visualized and understood through 3D simulations.
At this stage, we start by collecting quotations from various suppliers and drawing up a detailed estimate for all the materials needed for the garden.
It is important to have a close relationship with all suppliers involved to ensure that all materials are delivered on time and according to project specifications.
In addition, we will implement a detailed works plan, structured in clear milestones, which will be closely followed by our project management team.
This plan will include 3-4 site visits during key phases of the project to ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with the approved design.
We will monitor the progress of the works and liaise with the site team to resolve any situations in a timely manner. We will also take care of all the administrative aspects related to the project, such as payments, reporting and preparation of necessary documentation.
The project management stage is essential to the successful completion of the garden, ensuring that all works are carried out on time and in accordance with the approved design.
This stage involves turning the designed solution into reality. It includes making hardscape modifications, such as excavation and construction. These can be, for example, terraces, retaining walls, walkways or artesian wells.
The softscape implementation includes adding topsoil, planting and sodding, as well as making other decorative elements such as bouquets of flowers or decorative arrangements. The goal of this stage is to create a beautiful and functional green environment that blends with the hardscape modifications to form a complete and harmonious garden.
It is important that this stage is carried out with attention to detail, following the technical design precisely and making sure that all elements are properly placed and work efficiently.
Implementation can be done by a team of construction and landscaping specialists as well as modern garden design techniques.
It focuses on the maintenance and healthy growth of vegetation in the garden. This is achieved by:
- Regular visits for tree pruning – this is the process of trimming dry or unproductive branches to allow them to grow in a harmonious and aesthetically pleasing way;
- Fertilization – fertilization provides plants with enough nutrients to grow healthy and produce beautiful flowers and fruit;
- Irrigation system set-up – regular irrigation provides plants with enough water and can reduce stress during dry periods;
- Application of phytosanitary treatments – phytosanitary treatments are necessary to prevent and control diseases and pests that could affect the health and appearance of the vegetation;
- Weeding – weeding can help prevent competition for nutrients and water and improve the overall appearance of your garden.
Regular and correct care of your garden can ensure healthy plant growth and an aesthetically pleasing appearance all year round.

Because we know that any home improvement is a major investment, we will be with you every step of the way in all the technical and even legal aspects of the work, keeping an eye on the budget
